About Us
HexAminos The Infinite Puzzle is a puzzle with 450x10^30 (450 Nonillion, that's 450 followed by 30 zeros!) possible combinations but only a handful of solutions. HexAminos contains 56 pieces, each with three unique number combinations with numbers varying from 1 to 6. Every number has a different color. The goal of the game is to complete different sizes and shapes of mats varying in difficulty. Every interlocking hexagon must match its adjacent with the same colors and snap in place (with the puzzle head of one inserting in the notch of the other one). The most difficult mat to form is an 8 x 7 mat with no gaps inside it, requiring the use of all the 56 pieces. HexAminos is difficult for humans but impossible for AI or brute computation. Algorithms and logic strategies are what makes humans better suited to solve this game.
HexAminos can be played solo or in a group setting. There are several games that can be played individually and in a group. Since the number of possible combinations is practically infinite, no two games will ever be alike. For comparison, even assuming a very powerful computer capable of testing one trillion combinations per second (which is very optimistic!), it would take this computer 14.3 trillion years to simulate all combinations. This is 100 times the age of our universe (13.8 billion years)! And yet, some humans are able to solve it, are you one of them?
